Mr. Taylor is a founding member of Edwards & Taylor, LLC. He has extensive experience in significant commercial transactions and financing in construction, business acquisition, inventory and operations. He has particular expertise in agricultural law and the financing of commercial agricultural enterprises and rural utilities. His trial and appellate experience has been in the area of contract interpretation and enforcement, uniform commercial code issues, bankruptcy and business organizations. His work with business organizations include entity formation and governance, business planning and contracting, and asset preservation. He also has extensive experience in business reorganization cases, receiverships, collections and personal bankruptcies. In recent years Mr. Taylor has developed an estate planning and probate practice.
Mr. Taylor practiced in Arkansas and in Kansas before moving to Colorado in 1990. He was admitted to the state and federal courts in Arkansas and Kansas, and served as Assistant District Attorney for the Eighteenth Judicial District in Wichita, Kansas. From 1984 through 1995 Mr. Taylor served successively in the positions of Litigation Counsel for the Federal Intermediate Credit Bank of Wichita, Assistant General Counsel for the Farm Credit Banks of Wichita, Senior Vice President and General Counsel for the Wichita Bank for Cooperatives, and Associate General Counsel for CoBank, ACB, all of which are banks of the Farm Credit System serving farmers, ranchers and rural utilities nation-wide. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Taylor served in the United States Regular Army as a Captain and is a graduate of the United States Army Airborne and Ranger Schools. Mr. Taylor is active in civic organizations and serves on citizen boards and commissions for the City of Aurora.
